The Mac's Nuffield Street Brewbar opened it's brand new shiny glass doors to the public last night. Hallelujah! This isn't like any other Mac's Brewbar you will have seen before. This is the new breed of Brewbar. And as you can probably tell we're very excited."The Mac's Nuffield St Brewbar will blow you away," says Mac's Marketing Maverick, Stephen Smith. "It's definitely not what you'd typically expect out of a bar and pushes the boundaries of what bars are about. There are so many unique items to discover - it will keep people looking every time they visit. It's a cliché but you really do have to see it to believe it. It is a very unique experience. A Mac's experience." The new look Mac's Brew Bar is the result of a collaboration between Shine, Mac's creative agency, and a great team of designers including Nick and Kirsty at JAZMAX and Steve at Element 17. "Our design challenge was how to architecturally tell Mac's 'naturally brewed' beer story in a creative and engaging way. We were given permission to create a venue that includes an irreverent and elective attitude, described in a contemporary and fun way," says Shine's Creative Director Lucien Law. Each and every Mac's beer will be served on tap, perfect temperature, perfect pour, perfect taste, every time. As you stand leaning on the concrete bar top which rests on a natural split timber panel frontbar, and ponder which of these fantastic and flavoursome Mac's beers to choose next, you'll notice one of the bars many focal pieces - a backbar created from a jigsaw of fifties cabinetry, providing an inviting canvas for Mac's artwork. Mac's Nuffield St Brewbar - The New Breed of Mac's Brewbars
August 18th 2006
The waiting is finally over. The Mac's Nuffield Street Brewbar opened it's brand new shiny glass doors to the public last night. Hallelujah!
This isn't like any other Mac's Brewbar you will have seen before. This is the new breed of Brewbar. And as you can probably tell we're very excited.
"The Mac's Nuffield St Brewbar will blow you away," says Mac's Marketing Maverick, Stephen Smith. "It's definitely not what you'd typically expect out of a bar and pushes the boundaries of what bars are about. There are so many unique items to discover - it will keep people looking every time they visit. It's a cliché but you really do have to see it to believe it. It is a very unique experience. The new look Mac's Brew Bar is the result of a collaboration between Shine, Mac's creative agency, and a great team of designers including Nick and Kirsty at JAZMAX and Steve at Element 17.
"Our design challenge was how to architecturally tell Mac's 'naturally brewed' beer story in a creative and engaging way. If there was still any doubt as to who is actually running this government – and it isn’t the buffoon from Botany – then this week’s announcement of a huge spend up on charter schools has settled the matter. While jobs and public services continue to be cut in the name of austerity (and while state schools are crying out for more capital investment and operational funding) the government has somehow found $153 million behind the sofa to spend on the ACT Party’s exercise in union busting.
A new poll commissioned by Unions Wellington shows an overwhelming majority of Wellingtonians oppose the Council’s plan to sell the 34% public stake in Wellington Airport. The poll found 74% of Wellingtonians oppose the airport sale, compared to just 26% in favour.
An increasingly diverse New Zealand full of both the challenges and opportunities that come from a more multi-cultural society.
New Zealand voted in favour of a resolution broadening Palestine’s participation at the United Nations General Assembly overnight, Foreign Minister Winston Peters says.
“Just over a year ago our North Island was hammered by deadly and devastating climate-change charge weather events. Many are still grappling with the clean-up, insurance issues and infrastructure gaps. These are the consequences of a warming planet and we must do everything we can to both mitigate climate changing emissions and adapt. Good policy does both,” says Greens co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick.
New Zealand’s ability to cope with climate change will be strengthened as part of the Government’s focus to build resilience as we rebuild the economy, Climate Change Minister Simon Watts says. “An enduring and long-term approach is needed to provide New Zealanders and the economy with certainty as the climate continues to change,” Mr Watts says.
Greenpeace Aotearoa executive director Russel Norman says, 'The Fast-Track Bill is the most damaging piece of environmental legislation any Government has introduced in living memory. People are angry, and it’s time to march.'
