How safe is your family in the water?

Manukau Swimsation swimming schools are running free swimming assessment days for families.

Everyone is welcome to attend the sessions, which will show what level children are at with their swimming and give parents an important understanding of how safe they and their families are in and around water.

Manukau’s friendly and fully-qualified Swimsation team will also be on hand to advise about the different learn-to-swim programmes that are available at local swimming pools.

Manager of Manukau City Council’s Leisure Services, Brett Jude, encourages all residents to take up this free offer.

“With warmer weather just around the corner, now is an ideal time for families to think about how safe their children will be in the water once summer arrives.

“The assessments give families free access to expert advice on this important life skill and an opportunity to check out how lessons at their local pool might be able to help their family”.

Free swimming assessment days are:

Moana-nui-a-Kiwa, Mascot Avenue, Mangere – phone 275 8979
Friday 15 September 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Manurewa Aquatic Centre, Ngaa Mahi a Rehia, Mountfort Park, Manurewa – Phone 269 0930 Saturday 16 September 12pm -2pm

Norman Kirk Memorial Pool, Bairds Road, Otara – Phone 274 6917
Friday 29 September, 3.30 – 5.30pm

Papatoetoe Centennial Pools, Sutton Crescent, Papatoetoe – Phone 278 4167 Saturday 30 September, 12pm -2pm

To put you and your family in the swim this summer, come along to one of the above Swimsation swim schools and give it a go.
