SHW 7: Tree falls on road worker

Location of incident: SHW 7 - South of "Mouse Point" (North of Culverden.)

Incident Type: Tree falls on road worker

Emergency Services have arrived at the scene of a tree blown over onto a truck. A male is being extricated and attended to by Ambulance staff.

Location is about 3 kilomtres south of Mouse Point on SHW 7.

Police have received a number of calls re high winds in the Culverden and Hanmer area with roads either closed by fallen trees or partially closed.

Motorists are urged to take care in the area.

Nil further on the accident till further information comes to hand.
