Man dies after being struck by
tree during strong winds:
A man injured by a falling tree
on SHW 7 this morning between Culverden and Hanmer, has died
of his injuries.
It is believed that he was attempting to
clear debris from the road when another tree fall on him. He
was taken to Christchurch Hospital.
Details of the mans
name cannot yet be released as Police continue to ensure his
family have been
notifed.
