Urban Summer Jam Features Top Hip Hop, R&B And Reggae Acts In December

International hip hop legend DMX headlines Urban Summer Jam, an outdoor music festival at Porirua Trust Park promising nine hours of top hip hop, R&B and reggae artists.

With more than 22 million albums sold worldwide and the only artist in the Billboard Top 200 to have five consecutive albums debut at the number one spot, rapper DMX is one of the most memorable MCs of all time.

Hosted by Black Box Label, Urban Summer Jam takes place on Sunday 10 December and also features top New Zealand acts including Che Fu, Deceptikonz, Aaradhna, Chong Nee, Flowz, Tommy Grafiti and dance crews DZIAH and Wellington's own Legacy.

International guest DJs including Australia's Urbans Elite All Stars DJs Moto, Tikelz, Manny and DJ Peter Gunz will be keeping energy levels high between acts.

Promoter Matthew Peilua says Urban Summer Jam will be a celebration of music and positive youth engagement, as well as an opportunity to reinforce the awareness of youth suicide.

Urban Summer Jam, featuring DMX, is on Sunday 10 December at Porirua Trust Park. Gates open 11am. Tickets are $45 grandstand, $35 adult general admission and $25 student general admission and are available from Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.co.nz
