An 11-month old girl died in a Lynfield home this afternoon. Police were notified shortly after 12.30pm by an adult at the home that the child had drowned.
Police have carried out preliminary inquiries at the scene of the baby's death and don't believe her death was suspicious though there are several more inquiries to be completed, as is the case with any sudden death.
The child lived at the address with a caregiver. A post-mortem examination is expected to be held tomorrow.
