Nelson search and rescue were activated when a helicopter Pilot flying near Mt Fishburn saw two people waving a jacket and a sleeping bag to attract his attention. He established one of them was injured. They had been in the area for two to three days and needed help due to the injury. A search and rescue team flew into the area located the injured party and flew them both out to Nelson where they were ambulance assisted the injured person.
