Cycle into Summer

Cycle into Summer

Hastings District Council is supporting the campaign ‘Cycle into Summer’ where the community is encouraged

to get on their bike and cycle to work on Tuesday 13th November.

In partnership with RoadSafe HB, the event is designed to promote physical activity and cycle safety in the

Hastings district.

Councillor Deborah Turner who is a strong advocate for cycling said it is vital the Council gets behind the event

and shows its support for opportunities for the community to be more active.

‘Being a cyclist myself, it is great to see others in the community take part in such events and see them have

fun at the same time, while also being aware of road safety for cyclists’, Councillor Turner said.

Council staff are being encouraged to bike to work on November 13th and will be provided with a free breakfast

on their arrival, as will any other group that registers to participate.

The theme is ‘cycle into summer’ leaving an opportunity for those wishing to dress up.

Those wanting to register their workplace can do so by contacting Sally Phelps at RoadSafe HB by email
