Installation of Auckland’s Newest Dean
Installation of Auckland’s Newest Dean at the Anglican Cathedral, Parnell
Auckland’s Anglican Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, celebrates their new Dean The Rev’d Ross Bay with an
Installation Service on Monday 19 November. Ross joins the Cathedral to replace Dean Richard Randerson, and brings a wealth of commercial and community experience to his new role.
Previously Vicar of St Marks Remuera, Ross gave oversight to the major refurbishment of the historic St Marks hall transforming it into an event/conference centre and community hall and gardens. Ross has spent many years involved in local community affairs.
Invited guests include Auckland’s Mayors, civic leaders and MP’s, reflecting the Cathedral’s important role as a prominent gathering place in times of civic celebration or distress, and as a notable tourist destination.
Greetings will be given to Ross from church leaders, including the three Anglican Bishops, Deans, the Selwyn Foundation, social care agencies and the diverse resident congregation.
The evening service will include the Cathedral Choir and organ music and will be held at 7pm on Monday 19 November at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell. All are welcome to celebrate Auckland’s newest Dean.
