An
83-year-old man who has been missing overnight in bush near
Birchville, Upper Hutt, has been found safe and
well.
Sergeant Jo Holden, Wellington Police District Search and Rescue coordinator, said Mr Ian James Forrester walked out at 9.45am today.
He's currently being medically assessed but seems to have coped well with his night in the open.
It's not yet known what happened to him.
