Tonight, Tonight – Smashing Pumpkins with MAXX

Aucklanders heading to Vector Arena on Saturday 22 March to see the Smashing Pumpkins take to the stage can leave the car at home, as public transport services by the Auckland Regional Transport Authority will have them arriving near the door.

Vector Arena is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Britomart Transport Centre and the Downtown Ferry Terminal. A regular Saturday timetable will be operating for all buses and trains travelling to Britomart, and a special Easter timetable will be operating for ferry services.

Western Line train passengers are reminded that the usual Saturday bus replacements between Henderson and Waitakere will be in place.

The Link bus, which stops on Beach Road close to Vector Arena, is a good way to get to the concert. Passengers can catch The Link from various locations around the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby. The cash fare is $1.60 one way.

Fans are advised to allow plenty of time to get to Vector Arena in time for the show.

After the show finishes, train services from Britomart will be operating until 11.40pm on the Eastern Line and until just after midnight on the Southern and Western lines.

Regular ferry services from Auckland to Devonport will be running until approximately 1am, and NiteRider buses will leave from the Civic and St James between 1am and 3am.

Normal bus, train and ferry fares will apply.

For more information about public transport services to and from the Smashing Pumpkins concert call MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or visit www.maxx.co.nz
