All I need – MAXX to Matchbox Twenty

On Tuesday 8 April 2008, fans of pop-rockers Matchbox Twenty can leave the car at home and catch a MAXX train, bus or ferry to Vector Arena, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Britomart Transport Centre and the Downtown Ferry Terminal.

A regular timetable will be operating for all buses, trains and ferries travelling to Britomart, and normal fares will apply.

The Link bus, which stops on Beach Road close to Vector Arena, is a good way to get to the concert. Passengers can catch The Link from various locations around the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby. The cash fare is $1.60 one way.

Fans are advised to allow plenty of time to get to Vector Arena in time for the show.

Additional train services will be operating after the concert finishes at approximately 11pm. On the Southern and Eastern Lines, a train will depart Britomart for Papakura (via Glen Innes) at 11.55pm and for Otahuhu (via Ellerslie) at 11.50pm. On the Western Line, a train will depart Britomart for Waitakere at 11.52pm.

An additional ferry to Devonport will leave the Downtown Ferry Terminal at 12am (midnight) to take home fans living on the North Shore.

Matchbox Twenty fans planning to use public transport to and from the concert can get more information from MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz
