Kawakawa Home Invader Identikit Picture Released

Police have released an identikit picture of a man alleged to have robbed and beaten a Kawakawa doctor.

On Tuesday night (May 6) the woman was confronted at her residence near the hospital by an offender who beat and then robbed her of a small amount of money.

The offender is described as a male Maori or Polynesian, aged 15-20 years, of thin build, approximately 175cms tall, with a short possibly number 2 haircut, wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket, and dark coloured pants.

At one point the offender has had a gold or tan coloured dog with him on a lead.

Police are seeking the help of the public in identifying the person who has committed this crime.

Police are also asking anyone living in the area who have had their property interfered with, lost property, or witnessed suspicious behaviour to contact the Kawakawa Police on (09) 404 3150.
