SH2 between Paeroa and Waihi has been reopened following a fatal crash in the Waikino Gorge this morning.
Though both lanes were reopened at 11.15am Police at the scene advise of very heavy traffic build up and advise drivers to exercise patience.
The name of the 17-year-old driver killed in the crash has not yet been released.
