Changes to parking meter rates
Charges at Christchurch parking meters will increase 10c to $2.60 an hour from Friday, 1 August.
The rate change had been approved as part of the Christchurch City Council's Long Term Council Community Plan.
"Our operating costs have steadily increased over the past several years," says Karen Scott, Parking Team Leader.
"The Council delayed changing the rate as long as possible, but we simply cannot absorb the increased costs any longer."
