SH1 Northern Motorway

The NZ Transport Agency wishes to advise that, weather permitting, the following closures will take place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) next week:

Sunday 10 - Wednesday 13 August (contingency 14 August)

All motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Road and Onewa Road closed each night from 10pm until 5am for bridge works.

Northcote Road and Esmonde Road southbound on-ramps will also be closed.

Detour via Northcote Road and Lake Road to Onewa Road southbound on-ramp.

Sunday 10 August - Tuesday 12 August (contingency 13 - 14 August)

Onewa Road northbound on-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am for lightpole and pull pit installations.

Detour via Northcote Road northbound on-ramp.

Thursday 14 August (contingency 10 – 13 August)

Onewa Road southbound on-ramp closed overnight from 10pm until 5am for traffic switch and barrier movements.

Detour via Northcote Road southbound on-ramp.

If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same times

Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.

The NZ Transport Agency regrets any inconvenience caused.
