SH1 Northern Motorway

The NZ Transport Agency wishes to advise that, weather permitting, the following closures will take place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) next week:

Monday 22 – Thursday 25 September
Onewa Road northbound on-ramp closed from 10pm until 5am for paving and barrier removal.

Detour via Sylvan Avenue or Lake Road to Northcote Road northbound on-ramps.

Sunday 21 – Monday 22 September (contingency Tuesday 23 – Thursday 25 September)
Esmonde Road and Akoranga Drive northbound on-ramps closed from 9pm until 5am for linemarking.

Detour via Northcote Road northbound on-ramp.

Sunday 21 – Thursday 25 September
All motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Road and Onewa Road closed from 10pm until 5am for bridge works.

Northcote Road southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Road southbound on and off-ramps will also be closed from 9.30pm.

Detour via Northcote Road, Lake Road and Onewa Road southbound on-ramp.

If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.

Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.

The NZ Transport Agency regrets any inconvenience caused.
