Fatality at Martinborough - 15 November 2008
Ambulance and Police were called to a rural Tuturamuri
address near Martinborough at about 9.30am today. A 17 year
old man was treated for a chest wound at the homestead but
he died shortly afterwards. He was Aaron Phillip GRIMWOOD of
Carterton.
Police have completed a scene examination at
the house and have seized two firearms. As a result a 17
year old male has been charged with Careless Use of a
Firearm causing Death and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection to this
incident. The Coroner has been notified of the death and a
post mortem examination will be carried out as soon as
possible.
