A woman was found beaten unconscious in her Mount Roskill home last evening. The woman's 19 year old daughter found her in her bedroom after her father, who is currently on a business trip to China, could not contact his wife by phone after several attempts yesterday. Police have a Whitmore road property cordoned off and will examine it, with the assistance of ESR forensic experts today.
The 46 year old woman spent last night in intensive care in Auckland hospital and is reported to be in stable but critical condition. Police would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious behaviour in the Whitmore road area between mid afternoon on Sunday and 8 pm last night, November 17th.
