Location Of Incident: Blenhiem

Incident type: Fatal Train Crash PRESS RELEASE: 01 At 0241hrs on the morning of the 27 February 2009, Police, Ambulance and the Fire service were notified that a person had been hit by a train just south of the Blenheim Railway Station. Police located the person at the scene. The person died as a result of injuries received in the collision. The Police are still at the scene and will be carrying out a full investigation into this fatality. No details of the deceased are available at this stage. Further details will be available later in the morning through the Blenheim Police.
