Vehicle crashes into house in Levin

Police and the fire service are at the scene of a crash in Middlesex Street (Levin) - in which a vehicle has crashed into a house.
Both the house and the car caught fire as a result of the crash, and the occupants of the vehicle were seen to flee the scene on foot.
Fortunately the house was unoccupied at the time of the crash and it is not believed that any person is injured as a result of the crash, although the house has suffered some fire damage.
Police have located one occupant from the vehicle, and are currently speaking with him. Early reports that the vehicle was stolen are believed to be incorrect.
