Statement regarding Len Snee tragedy
Statement regarding Len Snee tragedy
(12th May 2009)
Although I am in Europe at present I have followed the tragedy unfolding in my home town of Napier very closely.
I would like to offer my condolences and those of the Sensible Sentencing Trust to the family and friends of Len Snee and all the other victims involved.
My deepest respect and appreciation to the NZ Police for continuing to uphold the law and protect the public from criminals who have no respect for life or law.
Criminals continue to cause mayhem and disaster and victims suffer. At a time like this it is essential we stand tall and unite.
I urge every New Zealander to express your support for the Police at this critical time. The Police are our hope - our life line - we must support the police. Condolences and respect to all at home.
