Title: Name release of UK visitors killed

The three UK visitors who were killed in a car accident yesterday evening (NZ time) have been named.

They were Valerie Susan BRYAN age 68 years, of Castle Donnington, Sera EADES age 60 and her grand daughter Iva HARPER age three. Mrs EADE's husband, Michael EADES, the driver, is in a stable condition in Christchurch Public Hospital. Mrs Bryan and Mrs Eades are cousins. All are from Derbyshire, England. The family had arrived in New Zealand days before for a holiday to visit family here.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Fabish, New Brighton Police, says that funeral arrangements are being made with family and the UK High Commission.

The fatal crash occurred about 6.20 pm on Wednesday 16 September 2009 in the suburb of New Brighton, Christchurch. The car collided with a power pole. An investigation will be referred to the Coroner.
