Christchurch Armed Offenders Squad Callout
Location: Darfield District: Canterbury
At 0830 am on the 10 November 2009 Police were advised a male person with a firearm at an address in Northcote Street, Darfield.
The Christchurch Armed Offenders Squad was activated and the area surrounding the house was cordoned.
As a result of Police making contact with the male person, he came out of the house. He is currently in Police custody. Two firearms were recovered.
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
Selwyn Police will have further details later today.
