Waikato Museum's recently opened exhibition 'Never a Dull Moment! Hamilton stories' explores Hamilton's history in a quirky and entertaining way, and aims to provide Hamiltonians with a sense of place.
Round the Bridges has played a role in shaping the city's history. It is the oldest event of its kind in Hamilton and one of the oldest annually contested running events in New Zealand. Round the Bridges began in 1945 (at the end of WWII) when the Hamilton Harrier Club established a road running race to enable Hamiltonians to witness top New Zealand athletes in action. Now thousands of people, mainly Hamilton residents, take part in this iconic event.
New Balance Round the Bridges 2009 takes place on 15 November and starts and finishes in Garden Place.
The Never a Dull Moment bridges quiz is also available on the Waikato Museum website http://www.waikatomuseum.co.nz
