Vote for Us
Downtown Community Ministry is in the running for a Person of the Year and Most Needed award for the popular Wellington blog Wellingtonista.com Awards night.

The good folks at www.wellingtonista.com say about Director Stephanie McIntyre’s nomination,
“It's not glamorous, it's not high flying but the work that Stephanie and the extremely dedicated team at Downtown Community Ministry do moves us to the core. They help those in Wellington who are most in need and most in risk, and with the Street People Project and Project Margin they make a difference in people's worlds”.

The Wellingtonista have also nominated a Wet House for Wellington for the Most Needed category.

Christmas Donations Still Needed
For the people who use the DCM foodbank having guests around the home during Christmas adds pressure to show hospitality.

That’s one of the reasons we’re asking people to remember the foodbank leading up to Christmas so we can fill the shelves and not go empty.

As well as yummy treats we need more tins of fish, vegetables and meat stews. We also need snack food such as museli bars, peanut butter and jam and small sipper drinks like Just Juice.

Thanks to all the groups and individuals who have generously given already. We really appreciate it.
