Unidentified driver involved in drag race
Police are appealing for the driver of an unidentified white vehicle to come forward, after they were involved in a race with a Silver Mitsubishi VR4, on Ti Irirangi Drive, Otara on Saturday the 12th of December 2009.
The incident occurred at about 6.30pm when the two vehicles began racing from the intersection of Diorella Drive and Ti Irirangi Drive and continued toward Dawson Road, Otara.
The driver of the Silver Mitsubishi veered off the road and collided into a palm tree where the vehicle has come to an immediate stop, trapping the driver inside.
The driver of the unknown white vehicle has helped the injured driver from his Mitsubishi prior to leaving. The 23-year-old male victim is currently in Hospital as a result of the incident.
Police are appealing for the driver of the white vehicle to contact them immediately. They are also appealing for any witnesses to come forward with any information whether they believe it is significant or not.
