Whangärei Police: Homicide investigation
Whangärei Police have launched a homicide investigation
Police were called to a house in the township of Ruakaka, South of Whangarei just after 9.25pm on New Years Eve after the report of a 30year old female having been stabbed.
A 15year old female has been arrested and charged with Assault.
She will be appearing in the Whangärei Youth Court on Saturday the 2nd of January 2010.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation, but are speaking to a number of witnesses and carrying out a scene examination today.
The female victim has yet to be formally identified.
