Tramways Union Survey Greater Wellington Regional Council Candidates

The Wellington Branch of the Tramways Union have surveyed candidates in the 2010 election for the Greater Wellington Regional Council. The survey ask questions about the current tendering process carried out by the Regional Council, and concerns the union has about the impact increased competition will have on bus drivers wages and conditions.

"Overall the union is dissappointed in the level of understanding of these issues by Regional Council candidates" says Wellington Tramways Union President Nick Kelly. "While some candidates understood the issues well the majority did not"

This survey will be circulated around Tramways Union members. Voting in local body elections closes this Saturday
