First meeting for Lower Waitaki Zone Committee.

The Lower Waitaki-South Coastal Canterbury Zone Committee of the Canterbury Water Management Strategy will hold its inaugural meeting.

Thursday, 18 November, 2010 from 3pm-8pm
Lindis Room, Kingsgate Brydon Hotel, Oamaru.

The committee will establish a chairperson for the meeting, look at Biodiversity Immediate Steps and hear a presentation on the programme from Julia Crossman, Senior Resource Care Coordinator Environment Canterbury.

Tim Davie, Environment Canterbury Surface Water Resources and Ecosystem Manager, will speak on the state of the water resource in the zone, and there will be a general discussion on water allocation.

The meeting will close at 6.15pm.
