Simpson Grierson's Auckland local government and environment group is delighted to welcome two new specialists.

Denis Sheard joins the firm as special counsel. He has 40 years experience in general legal practice, specialising in the local government area. Denis joins Simpson Grierson after seven years as general counsel at Waitakere City Council. Prior to that he advised a number of South Island local authorities and commercial clients while in private practice in Christchurch.

Senior associate Setareh Masoud-Ansari also joins the firm from Waitakere City Council, where she was the team leader of regulatory and litigation in the legal services team. Setareh advises on all aspects of resource management and local government law with a particular focus on plan changes, enforcement issues, and local government decision-making processes.
