Police Investigate Death Of Young Man
At about 7.50pm on Tuesday the 23 November 2010, Ambulance were called to a small gathering of approximately 6 people at a private address in Pine Valley Rd, Dairy Flat where a 24 yr old male had been injured.
The injured man was transported by Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital where he died at 9.30pm from the injuries he had received.
Police will be guarding the scene overnight and will commence a scene examination in the morning.
Occupants from the address are assisting Police with their inquiries.
A 18 year old man has been arrested and charged with Crimes Act Common Assault and will appear at the North Shore District Court on Wednesday, 24 November 2010.
At this stage Police are not seeking anyone else with regards to this incident.
The deceased will undergo a post mortem examination in the morning. His name will be released when all next of kin have been notified.
