Keith Johnston elected Chair of Whangamata Community Board
Peter Kerr appointed Deputy
Whangamata Community Board members unanimously elected Keith Johnston as Chairperson and Peter Kerr as Deputy Chairperson at the new Board's inaugural meeting.
The election of Chair and Deputy followed verbal and written declarations by Board members Johnston, Kerr, McCabe and Taylor before His Worship, Thames-Coromandel District Council Mayor, Glenn Leach.
The new Board then adopted a meeting schedule that sees its first ordinary meeting set for Thursday 9 December 2010.

Whangamata Community Board re-established liaison representatives to community groups at the first meeting of the newly elected Board.
