Lower Hutt Police investigating aggravated robbery
Lower Hutt Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at Animates, Lower Hutt this morning.
Acting Detective Sergeant Adrian Ross of the Lower Hutt CIB says shortly after 7 a.m. this morning a man brandishing a firearm forced the cleaner into the store where she was held until other staff arrived about an hour later. When the two other staff members arrived they were also confronted by this man and forced to hand over money from a safe.
"This has been a frightening experience for the staff involved."

He left the scene in a silver coloured Toyota Opa registration FQD205, which was stolen from the stores car park. This vehicle has yet to be located.
