Arrest For Alleged Indecent Assault Of 10 Year-Old
Wairarapa Police make arrest in connection to alleged indecent assault of 10 year-old boy
Wairarapa Police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged indecent assault of a 10 year-old boy in Colombo Street last Wednesday night (1 December 2010).
Detective Sergeant Bill Van Woerkom says a 21 year old man has been arrested today and will appear in the Masterton District Court tomorrow charged with indecent assault and abduction.
"We want to thank a number of people within the community who provided us with valuable information which led to the arrest."
Detective Sergeant Van Woerkom also acknowledges the hard work of Wairarapa Police, who have been extremely busy investigating a number of serious incidents over the past week.
"A 41 year old Masterton man has appeared in Court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. This relates to an alleged serious assault and stabbing in Grant Cresent on the evening of Friday 3 December."
He has been remanded in custody to reappear on the 20th of December 2010.
