New GrabOne Partnership Tees Off

Forget about wearing your heart on your sleeve; let your chest do your talking. T-shirts emblazoned with New Zealand’s favourite (and most controversial) slogans and images are now for sale at a steal thanks to a new partnership.

Mr Vintage, creators of the ‘O for Awesome’ and the ‘That is a moustache on a lady’ t-shirts have joined forces with deal-a-day website GrabOne to bring Kiwis the best value tees in town.

Launching today with the stunning illustrated Tui design for only $19.95, GrabOne Tee will feature one new t-shirt design 6 days a week, available through the site for just 24 hours.

Providing a channel for local designers to see their creations on the front of New Zealander’s favourite wardrobe item, designers are invited to submit their designs via the GrabOne Tee website.

“The first deal with Mr Vintage was a huge success so we were keen to see how else we could work together,” says Shane Bradley, GrabOne founder and CEO. “By working with an iconic New Zealand t-shirt company like Mr Vintage we’re continuing to support local business and also getting the design community involved.”

“GrabOne Tee provides us the opportunity to showcase designs from existing and up-and-coming design talent,” says Rob Ewan, Director of Mr Vintage. “Of course there’ll be deals on the classic Mr Vintage Kiwiana designs but we’ve also brought a real cross-section of innovative Kiwis on board; some are t-shirt designers - others are just really creative individuals whose work we love. And we’re looking forward to seeing more designs from across the country.

“GrabOne Tee is a community where everyone wins. We sell the tees, designers make great money and customers can buy really unique t-shirts.”

GrabOne’s Mr Vintage $15 t-shirt deal in August remains one of their fastest selling offers to date with the 2000 coupons up for grabs running out before midday.

David Creighton-Pester, who has designed t-shirts for renowned American community-centred online apparel store Threadless, is one of the first designers to join the GrabOne Tee portfolio. He describes his first design (due to feature later this week) as “spooky” but “made to look cute”.

“For artists GrabOne Tee is a way for us to get out there and be seen,” he says. “It’s really great to be submitting designs locally.”

GrabOne Tee is the second new vertical product launch this month, following GrabOne Bottle one week ago. T-shirt design, manufacture and distribution is handled by Mr Vintage, while GrabOne acts as the technology provider and marketing agent.

GrabOne was recently revealed by Google as New Zealand’s ‘fastest rising’ online search of 2010.
