Christchurch City Council Media Advisory 28 December 2010 10am
• The old Waimakariri Bridge is closed today due
to high river flows. We will advise when it reopens.
•
• The Council Events team is currently
exploring a new location for the New year's Eve party
traditionally held in Cathedral Square. Damage to buildings
in the Square has meant it may be necessary to change the
venue. Staff are working with suppliers and contractors and
will make a decision on Wednesday morning. We will advise as
soon as the decision is made.
