1-3 March 2011: Walk the Hump Ridge Track with Barbara Kendall

On 1 March 2011, Barabara Kendell will be joining the Hump Ridge team and leading a special guided walk around the track. A legendary kiwi mum and Olympic gold-medal winning boardsailer, Barbara Kendall has success and motivation oozing out of her!

Barbara Kendall, MBE, is one of NZ's most successful board sailors. She won a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, silver medal in 1996 (in Atlanta, Georgia), and a bronze medal in 2000 (in Sydney). Kendall finished 5th at the 2004 Games in Athens and sixth at the 2008 Games in Beijing. She is the first, and only, woman from NZ to compete at five Olympic Games.Kendall officially retired from competitive board sailing in May 2010. In 2009 Barbara was a finalist in the New Zealand version of Dancing with the Stars.

Cost: $495 Includes: 3 days' access to the track; 2 nights' accommodation (sleeping bag & sleep sheet provided); hot shower at each lodge (please BYO towel); 3 days' helipacking; all meals & snacks; after-dinner entertainment.
