Contiki seeks NZ’s best travel stories

Contiki seeks NZ’s best travel stories

Facebook entrants can win free European trip worth over $6,000

4 February, 2011 - New Zealand travel operator Contiki Holidays has launched a competition on Facebook giving away a free trip to Europe to the Kiwi with the best travel story.

For a chance to win, entrants must upload a 30-second video of themselves describing their best travel story on Contiki Holiday’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ContikiTravelLounge

Entrants have until the end of February to enter and the winner will be chosen via public voting on Contiki NZ’s Facebook page. The trip prize includes flights and $500 cash to spend.

Activities on the European trip range from the buzz of London and the cultured delights of Amsterdam and Venice to the beer halls of Munich and the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps.

The competition is reflective of Contiki’s demographic of 18-35 year-olds, and the increasing number of Contiki travelers who use Facebook and other social media on their journeys to keep in touch with friends and family to share stories, photos and videos.

Contiki Holidays is recognized as one of New Zealand’s most iconic brands. Through almost fifty years of business they have sent more than two million people on tours worldwide, including approximately 300,000 from New Zealand. They operate in more than 40 countries around the world.
