Eketahuna Police locate missing Lower Hutt mother and children

Eketahuna Police have located a Lower Hutt mother and her children, who went missing from Wainuiomata overnight.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant James Patea of the Lower Hutt CIB says Police stopped 34 year old Susan Donaldson in her vehicle just before 11 o'clock.

"We've taken Ms Donaldson back to Masterton Police Station to speak with Police. The children are safe and well and will be released into the care of their father and grandparents shortly."

Ms Donaldson removed one of her children from a Wainuiomata address around midnight last night and Police had concerns for her wellbeing after she failed to make any contact with family this morning.

Police would like to thank the media for their assistance this morning, which has been greatly appreciated.
