A dash of perfection – Foodies new gourmet Kiwi Vinegars

Some of New Zealand’s most skilled wine-makers have provided the timeless fermentation skills for a new range of specialty vinegars released at the start of April.

NZ Premium Foods – the team behind Paul Holmes Olive Oil - has been busy honing up on traditional vinegar-making and has handcrafted to perfection the new range of Foodies Kiwi Vinegars.

The ‘Foodies for Food Lovers’ range of gourmet vinegars is made from 100 per cent pure and naturally fermented New Zealand-grown fruit - simply perfect for enhancing the tastes and aromas of locally-inspired dishes.

The versatility of the range – from apple cider to a classic white wine - makes the vinegars an essential pantry item. Use them for salad dressings, mayonnaise and for adding a kick to tonics or mixers. Add a dash to your favourite meat, chicken or seafood, or enhance a savoury dish with one of the wine-based varieties.

Foodies recommends adding a dash to dessert pie fillings, or for an easy summer dressing, mix ½ cup of the vinegar with ½ cup of Greek yoghurt and add fresh herbs.

The Kiwi vinegars come in four delicious flavours - Golden Kiwi Fruit, Red Wine, White Wine and Apple Cider:

White Wine – a fresh, full-tasting vinegar, perfect for vinaigrettes, chutneys and relishes.
Apple Cider – a light and fresh blend made from New Zealand-grown apples for a crisp, clean and lively taste. Simply combine with honey and add hot water for a soothing, guilt-free hot drink.
