Furniture Removal Truck crash

Porirua Police and staff from the Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit are currently attending a crash in Mana View Road, Paremata. The crash happened about midday.

The circumstances involve a 10 tonne Furniture Removal truck rolling backwards down a hill before colliding with a vehicle then into the side of a house. There has been minor damage to the Removal Truck, the vehicle and house.

It is understood that there was one person in the rear of the Removal Truck at the time of the incident - they jumped from the vehicle and are uninjured.

It will be some time before the Furniture Removal Truck will be able to be recovered from the scene. A tow firm has been contacted and is en-route to assess this action.
