Fatal House Fire In Whangarei
An elderly woman was
found dead in a house fire that occurred west of Whangärei
this morning.
The 79-year-old woman was found in the
Millington Road house about 7am by a family member, who had
gone to check on her.
The house was moderately damaged by
the fire and it is believed the deceased woman suffered from
smoke inhalation.
Police are not treating the fire as
suspicious.
