Community Cycle Trail meetings

Community Cycle Trail meetings

Anyone interested in the development of the Nelson Tasman Cycle Trails is encouraged to attend a series of meetings starting this week.

Nelson Tasman Cycle Trails Trust, Executive Officer Fiona Newey says the meetings will be project specific.

“It would be great to see everyone connected with the trails coming and giving their input,” she says. “At each meeting we aim to form a working group which will develop and promote all parts of the trail infrastructure including funding, accommodation, communications and guiding”

Fiona says she envisages the groups will set regular meeting dates to carry each project forward.

The meetings are being held in the Moutere Inn, as it’s the shortest common point for all the areas associated with the Cycle Trail to meet.

The meetings are as follows:

August 18th: 6.30 - 8.30pm Moutere Inn, Upper Moutere.
Funding campaign: business support, sponsorship, and community trail adoption.

August 23rd: 6.30 - 8.30pm. Moutere Inn, Upper Moutere. Accommodation: food & beverage, standards, needs, packages.

August 29th: 6.30 - 8.30pm Moutere Inn, Upper Moutere.
