The New
Zealand flag outside Hamilton City Council’s chamber will
fly at half-mast today in honour of the New Zealand Defence
Force soldier killed in Afghanistan.
The flying of the
flag at half-mast is at the request of Prime Minister John
Key, and applies to all Government buildings.
The flag
will be lowered again on the day of the soldier’s funeral,
the date of which has not yet been announced.
