Outstanding in their Fields presents the first live Chef and Producer Cooking Shows this coming weekend. Three of Marlborough's best chefs will be showcasing the tastiest of Marlborough Produce this Sunday 4 th September from 10 am to noon at the Marlborough Farmers' Market. Local Chefs Marcel Rood, Matt Allen and Chris Fortune will be the first in a long line up of NZ chefs and cooks to feature in the Outstanding in their Fields Cooking Roadshow. Farmers' Markets New Zealand (FMNZ) is presenting a national series of FREE Farmers' Market cooking and producer demonstrations - shining the light on the very best of local Farmers' Market food. MasterChef Brett McGregor, Jonny Schwass, Julie Biuso and Chef of the Year, David Schofield are just some of the other top kiwi chefs who will be showing the nations Farmers' Markets how its done...

Out Standing in their Fields is part of the REAL New Zealand Festival 2011, and is running in conjunction with the Rugby World Cup 2011 to maximise our exposure to both local and international audiences. We are committed to promoting New Zealand food producers during this period of high international media attention, and showing the world what genuine Kiwi cooking and food is all about. Farmers’ Markets are environmentally friendly and sustainable community movements, which have shown economic benefits that include increased employment, income and business opportunities. Supporting Farmers’ Markets means supporting local producers and communities, developing relationships with both producers and consumers through an interactive channel.
