Child killed in school bus accident named
Police have
today released the name of the five year-old boy who was
killed after being hit by a school bus at Hector on the West
Coast yesterday afternoon.
He was Mahuri
BETTJEMAN-MANAWATU of Hector.
Mahuri was a student at
Granity School. Police are today working with the school to
provide support to the other pupils, along with Victim
Support staff. There were a number of children on the bus at
the time of the accident.
A Police investigation into the
circumstances surrounding the accident is under
way.
