Police find missing money
Greymouth Police have been overwhelmed by offers of support for the man who lost an envelope containing $23,000 this week.
Police have fielded calls from people all over the world offering to donate personal funds to the man.
Police today located the missing money extremely well secreted at the man's house and it has now been deposited back into his bank account.
"Thankfully we won't have to take anyone up on those generous offers of donations, but it is very heartening to see that level of good will," said Constable Deane Harbison.
He said the man was delighted to have found the money.
