Club Life Offers Alternative Living Option

August 14, 2013

Brand new concept for 50 plus

Club Life Offers Alternative Living Option For Smart Thinking Baby Boomers

A brand new concept in “next stage living” for independent minded baby boomers will be launched in Auckland over the next month.

Club Life, is a unique lifestyle and service provider that will be partnering with selected developers to provide freehold residences in modern energetic complexes for the smart thinking baby boomer with a proviso that the principal resident is 50 plus.

The proposition is very different from the current lifestyle options on offer which include often compromised apartment living where anyone can move next door, leasehold structures or onerous villages with no individual ownership or capital gain when the buyer wants to move on.

“Owner occupiers, early adopters and those who have age with attitude are key to creating the “like minds” vibrant community we are committed to,” said Club Life Director, Virgil Roberts

“We are looking at potential residents who are still planning to climb Kilimanjaro, write their autobiography, party with the Stones, swim Cook Strait or create a new ‘startup’ but want the freedom from their existing now cumbersome house and section and all that goes with it.”

Many residents will very likely have second homes in New Zealand or overseas, may travel extensively or just like the idea of planning ahead although they continue to work.”

The inaugural Club Life will be built on a soon to be announced site within one kilometer of Central Auckland though longterm the Club Life team plans to develop a number of these complexes.

The residences in the Club Life complexes will be typically owner occupied within a freehold unit titled structure.

“We believe that Club Life is an idea whose time has come with sophisticated baby boomers reaching an age where they want to cash up and have alternative living which they own outright, where they are in control and where they feel comfortable,” he continued.

Virgil as one of Auckland’s top real estate agents has been listening to buyers and their needs over a couple of decades.  This knowledge and experience is the basis for the development of Club Life, which has been an idea he has been working on for a number of years.

Club Life is focused on providing a quality product at a good price with excellent infrastructure and affordable on-going costs.

Another strength of the Club Life concept is that extensive ground floor areas within the complexes will be owned by all the residents.

The shared facilities are at the heart of the Club Life community and are designed to optimize resident interaction.

There will be no sub- letting of retail or other common space in Club Life communities.

Facilities at the first Club Life will be the most extensive offered at any apartment complex in New Zealand.  These will be modeled on the wants and needs of the residents, creating an enriched social community atmosphere.

“There will also be full time concierge who will attend to the requests of the residents from dry cleaning to theatre tickets to restaurant bookings and other activities and will work with the resident- appointed Body Corporate Manager to ensure that the complex is running smoothly and efficiently” said Roberts.

In September Club Life will present the full proposition, onsite,  to the first group of interested parties.

“Because our offer is so targeted and we are very clear on the people that we want to talk to about the concept we are not holding walk-in open home scenarios but instead will be making presentations to those who express interest and fit the criteria”

Once this first complex is completed, the developer’s job is done but Club Life continues on as the lifestyle provider and manager, all at the owners’ discretion.
