Last chance to stand for Wellington
Wellingtonians: if you want to use your voice in discussions about how your city is run, you’re running out of time to make a stand.
Prospective candidates in this year’s local elections have only a couple more days to lodge their nominations – nominations close at noon this Friday 16 August.

If you want to check you’re on the preliminary roll of electors, visit your local library or the Council offices on Wakefield Street before 5pm on Friday.
More information about the elections is available in the ‘Have your say’ section of the Council’s website – media should note this also includes candidate contact details – see www.Wellington.govt.nz/have-your-say/elections/election-2013/candidates
